The mission of Oaks Christian School is “To dedicate ourselves to Christ in the pursuit of academic excellence, artitstic expression and athletic distinction, while growing in knowledge and wisdom through God’s abundant grace.”
Oaks Christian has had a long history with The Honor Bowl. In 2012, the Lions traveled to Loomis to play Del Oro along with Westlake who played Granite Bay. The following week, the same four teams traveled to play at Westlake in the first SoCal event for the nonprofit. For the next 3 years, Oaks Christian played in the all Honor Bowls hosted by Oceanside. The following year, The Honor Bowl moved to Mission Viejo and Oaks played national power St Joseph Prep, PA and lost their first Honor Bowl game! 2018 the Lions traveled to Cathedral Catholic and matched up by WA power Eastside Catholic and secured another win.
2021 – Oaks Christian is back and their school, cheer, coaches and community are pleased to experience another Honor Bowl!
The focus of Oaks Christian Lions athletic program is to develop positive and confident young men and women who express exceptional character and high moral values on and off the field. We embrace the belief that the athlete’s character comes first and winning is secondary. When winning is kept in the right perspective, our student athletes are allowed to develop without fear of failure. They learn to understand the value of praise, as well as that of constructive criticism. Winning must be accomplished while competing in the purest sense of fair play and good sportsmanship. Character shaped through athletic competition will carry over into all other areas of life. As the head of athletics, it is my privilege to support our athletic families as we partner together toward this goal, and to work with talented coaches who serve as role models for our gifted athletes. I take great joy and pride and seeing our community come together to support all our teams and to encourage our student-athletes grow, mature, and reach for their best in a Christ-centered, competitive sports program. GO LIONS!
