Junipero Serra High School is located in Gardena, California. The school is operated by the Department of Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. The High School was founded by James Francis Cardinal McIntyre in 1950.
The success of the entire Serra Athletic Department would not be possible without the support of many people. The Booster Club, Development Staff, Administration, Parents, Donors, and Training Staff put in countless hours and their dedication is greatly appreciated.
Serra has played seven times in The Honor Bowl since 2013 and played in both NorCal and Socal back to back in 2018. Head Coach Scott Altenberg has been very vocal about his love for the event and vows to be in every year because of the educational impact The Honor Bowl offers.
We are so happy to have the Cavs back in 2021 and the game they are slated to play the American Fork Cavemen coming in from Utah. When we told Coach about this game he immediately replied – ‘Awesome: The Cavemen vs the Cavmen!’
